Today we are introducing Ruby on Rails 5.2 support for Spree Commerce versions <\/span>4.0<\/b>, <\/span>4.1<\/b>, and <\/span>4.2<\/b>, and thanks to that, it’s now easier to make the upgrade from Spree 3 to 4.<\/strong><\/p>\n

We heard rumors that the migration from Spree 3.7 to 4.x was no easy task<\/strong>. The main reason behind that being the Ruby on Rails 5 to 6 upgrade requirement. So – <\/span>to put an end to those nasty rumors once and for all<\/span><\/i> – we decided to make it easier for you.<\/span><\/p>\n

The solution: You can now <\/span>upgrade to Spree 4 without the need to upgrade Rails<\/b> in the process. In an attempt to simplify the procedure as much as possible, we\u2019ve also updated the <\/span>Spree 3.7 -> 4.0 upgrade guide<\/strong>.<\/span><\/a> Hopefully, those of you who were struggling in the past find the new process much more straightforward.<\/p>\n
